This whole project started out as a joke and it still is. It just grew bigger somewhere along the way... How far can you go in sending a platic gnome around the world?' 'How far would he get before he got damaged, stolen or lost?' We all know the kind of conversations that leads to stuff like this...

So the next day the search for a suitable gnome began. He had to be plastic because of the shipping risks. And light, because of the fares... And relaxed... he would be on a permanent vacation so why wouldn't he be relaxed? After visiting quite a few shops they saw him sitting there... Just relaxing and watching the rushed shoppers. It wasn't that they chose him... He found them! He sat there and smiled. As if he knew all along that he would become a globetrotting gnome. And quite a popular one!

So Sibby gave him a make-over that would make any reality show jealous while Johan started designing a website. A few weeks later Jerome was ready for his first big trip: Sidney, Australia. So they bought him a mini-suitcase and made a customised box, fitted with air vents and labels.

That first trip didn't go as planned, it took him over three months to get back home and he had no photographs proving he ever was in Australia, but he scored quite a bit of kilometers and came back in one piece.

After Australia the word quickly spread and it turned out a lot of people liked the concept. Nowadays Jerome has to turn down half of the invitations because his agenda is fully booked for months! Nobody knows where this'll end but wasn't that the initial question? 'How far will this go?' The answer is simple... as far as you take him!

How do you start an internet hype? How do you get hundreds of signatures?
No ideas here but, hey!, at least we do try!
When he saw Gnome Paté sold freely in Belgian bioshops Jerome found a strong moral obligation to put an end to this barbaric sandwich spread. So there was the idea that could start a hype. But how do you launch it?

First of all we told all of Jerome's friends. But that wasn't enough...
So people started to hang out posters at their workplace or posted cards at the supermarket. They sent emails to everyone they knew.
But that still wasn't enough...
